My boyfriend and I are buying a condo in NYC during the COVID19 pandemic! It’s definitely something we’re so proud about being in our 20s, and I only recently paid off my student loans back in February so we could prepare for this.
This video will be the start of our journey with why are we buying, what we’re looking for, and where we’re at in the process. We have two videos coming out as well on us putting in an offer as well! We just signed our contract on Friday!!!
Have any of you been trying to buy a condo during the pandemic? Especially in NYC? Curious about your story now!
This video is different than usual, but maybe it’ll be a fun video for you! I react to Consulting Comedy’s memes that highlight little snippets of how it is in consulting! I react to them with the TRUTH behind each meme of what it’s like!
Whether or not you like memes, I think you can still learn about how consulting can truly be like in a lighthearted manner!

On Monday, I released a video on networking basics, but this video will go more deeply into how to do an informational interview well. Even when you follow all the basics, the true goal is to get the most out of it and even better, build a good lasting mutual relationship that can benefit you professionally and personally!
Whether or not you’re a beginner or an experienced informational interview “networker,” I think a lot still are good reminders.

It’s time we drill it down further. Now HOW can you start implementing what I deem as my ingredients of success? Success is all subjective, but I think we can all see that you need to have a strong sense of identity when pursuing success. Plus this is key to being happy!
Many of you have reached out to me for an informational interview or to learn more about technology consulting. Most do well, but still a decent number of people have done questionable things that would raise red flags to working professionals. My thoughts is that they are not intentional but just uninformed!
I’m finally made a video about how to do networking the RIGHT way. I have been on both sides as a college student and as a technology consultant at Accenture, and there are still a few things that bothered me or I learned the hard way. Hopefully you can all benefit from this video! I will have another video on Thursday specifically on how to conduct a good informational interview!

I think everyone needs all of this to be successful.
Introspection. Learn about yourself to figure out what you like to do, what you don’t like to do, what you value, and what your tendencies and habits are. It’s okay to not know any of this, but it’s important that you make an effort towards this.
Growth Mindset. Embrace the process! Adapt and mobilize. As someone who is usually one track minded, I sometimes fall behind on this. Results are still important, but it also depends on what you define as success. Goal set in a way of what you want to learn rather than what you want to achieve.
Understanding. Don’t just focus on yourself. Try to understand those around you and you’ll learn a lot you didn’t realize! I actually surround myself with many non-business and non-tech friends. They opened my eyes to a whole different world out there that complements what I lack.
Humility. Even when you are successful, you need to remember your roots and where you come from. Honestly this is probably the most important because you want to always remember to give back as much as you take. Spread the love and the knowledge, and help out your community! Try to understand them and realize you were once there. Privileged or not, everyone wasn’t born with certainty and confidence. You need to work towards it.
What are your ingredients to success? Do you disagree with any of it?
So I always talk about what is technology consulting and how to get into it, but what if you want to get out of it? What are your exit opportunities and how can you best position your career with a job in technology consulting? I go into what are all your options and how they can translate!
Also, make sure to check out the Facebook Group I created for current and aspiring technology consultants where we learn more about the career, network with each other, and have exclusive LIVE Q&A and resume drops with technology consultants, consultants, technology professionals, and those in the technology industry!
Many people in my life didn’t think I still had such traditional parents that thought their daughter couldn’t handle certain things because she was a girl. I want to tell people it’s okay. If you are a woman looking to join the STEM field, don’t focus on those that doubt on you, focus on those that believe in you. As a woman in tech, I support you, and I know you can do it!
