My Job & Internship Rejections Story | Low GPA, Awkward Interviews, Cultural Fit?

Oh boy, this will be an interesting story. There are some secrets I’ve never told many people either! Everyone talks about how amazing their jobs and internships are, but rarely does anyone talk about the true rejection stories behind the success. Before becoming a technology consultant at Accenture, I faced a lot of rejections and wanted to share them all to you so you can learn from my mistakes!

I dig deep to all my rejections from freshman through senior year of college on why I got rejected, how I felt, and what I did. Some of it is very personal, so please be gentle with me! I wanted to share this with you to show you you’re not alone and you can still get a well paying job in a top company after graduation despite many odds!

What were some job and internship rejections you had and how you got out of it? This can be a sensitive topic as most attribute a rejection as “something wrong with you,” but it really isn’t! You just need to keep pushing through and you will prevail. That dream job is waiting for you!
