Derek and I go back to college freshman year when we both co-founded our collegiate chapter of Phi Chi Theta at Boston University. With a degree doing a triple major in business, computer science, and mathematics, he decided to pursue a career in UX and UI while pursuing his master’s degree in human factors in information systems at Bentley University and starting a YouTube channel called The Handoff for tips, tricks, and resources for junior designers to land their first UI or UX design job.

UX is something I’ve always been interested in myself because I love how it introduces the psychology and overall experience into the design, so I dive deep to really learn more about UX in this particular episode.
