I thought for a long time I was going to be at Accenture for a long time, but when a recruiter at Google reached out to me about this Advertising Solutions Architect role out of gTech Professional Services at Google, I had to say yes! I went in not thinking I was going to get the offer, but when I got the offer, I was so elated! Here is my entire process from when they reached out to me, preparing the interviews, the actual interviews themselves, and all the way to accepting the offer!

How Covid affected consulting

The pandemic has changed the landscape of how we see work of the world. Consulting is no different! A lot of what consulting was known for was traveling to the client and sometimes spending more time sleeping in a hotel than in your own home. Pandemic has shifted firms and clients to realize you can do a lot virtually or at least reduce the travel. It also shifted priorities around from clients to prioritize moving to the cloud!

Some have even reevaluated their priorities and can’t handle the grind and travel anymore and left! Or even their firm or client travel has changed to reduce travel and that becomes a reason to stay! It’s different for everyone.

This has been a big secret I’ve been holding for three months now! My last day as a Workday Financials technology consultant at Accenture was March 2, 2022 and my first day at my new company and new role starts on March 14! I explain why I start looking, how I started looking, the timeline of what exactly happened (separate video on the actual interview process coming soon!) and the big reveal of my new role and company! So excited for this new step in my career!
