Google NYC Office: Noogler Lessons Learned

I took @addisonjchen to the Google office! We’re finally allowed social guests in the NYC office! Took this photo at the rooftop terrace on 9th Ave’s 14th floor with sweeping views of NYC skyline and beautiful weather.

Lessons I learned so far:
⭐️ Embrace being new! Being an experienced hire this time around, I felt pressured to know a lot on the get go, but it’s okay to just start all over! Every company does things differently and take your time.
⭐️ Explore and learn as much as you can! The offices, the culture, the people, the work, the crossfunctional teams, the workshops and courses, everything!
⭐️ It really is what you make of it! If you are not proactive, there will be missed opportunities. Jump on it and ask what you can work on or try out or even shadow before being asked to!

Lots more coming in a video soon!

I’m four weeks into my Noogler experience, and I’m going through a lot of onboarding activities and trainings such as shadowing opportunities and 1-on-1s with teammates! Especially on a Monday, you really need to get something going to be productive, so I’m happy to announce that Magic Mind is sponsoring this video, and I love it! Really gets me going in the day (cats permitting)!

I’m Officially a Noogler!

I’m officially a Noogler at @google with my lil Noogler hat! It’s been a long time coming, but going into the office the past few weeks in my new role in gTech Professional Services for Shopping Advertising Solutions Architect in the New York Office has been a dream!

Over the past few weeks I went to over 5 offices and met so many of my amazing and talented teammates, and I’m happy to be here to take everything in and learn as much as I can!

P.S. I guess my head is too small because this hat is huge even on its smallest configuration 😂
