I get this question all the time if you’re pigeonholing yourself with technology consulting for management or strategy consulting, for non-tech roles or even with software specialties and certifications and the transferability to other roles outside of those specialties. I talk it all out here!
Here are the reasons why I pursued consulting and this could be the reason why you should too! Consulting can provide a wealth of experience and some can argue that one year in consulting would provide more experience than one year in a non-consulting role. Would you agree?

When I started fostering cats, I planted the seed in Addison Chen that if I find a playful and cute cat that gets along with both my cats and loves both of us that I will want to adopt her. I try not to get too attached because the point is for her to be adopted by others through Best Friends New York. When they called saying someone would like to do a virtual meet and greet, I said sure but when I was waiting for the call, a feeling of dread and the thought of losing my girl dawned on me. The person who almost adopted Charlotte never showed up to the call, and I thought that was fate because it was calling to me that I should be the one to adopt Charlotte instead! I convinced Add, and I don’t regret it a single bit! When adopting, it’s easy to say the cat is lucky to have me, but really, we are lucky to have Charlotte! ❤️
We love you so much, Charlotte, CharChar, Charlavere, Charlabear!
I’ve always wanted to do a “What’s On My Phone” because sometimes simple is better! I strategically organize my phone in a way that that I can boost productivity while removing distractions from social media! Are you trying to get more done in less time in 2022? This could be a start!
I sat down with my two best friends ( and Sally Chen) and with my boyfriend (Addison Chen)! Michelle has been friends with me since high school (over 11 years now), Sally has been friends with me since college (over 8 years), and Addison an I have been together for over 4 years. Each come with a different perspective on our relationships with each other as people grow and develop, and while I wanted to do this in person, Addison and I did get COVID19 during the December 2021 holiday break, so we had to do this virtually instead!

With 2022 already here, I thought this would be fitting! After crossreferencing and triangulating many sources, these were the ones that were mentioned the most!
If your goal is to break into tech out of college or from a non-tech background, look into these! They can be achieved through bootcamps, projects, building portfolios, apprenticeship/internships/co-ops!

When I first heard about NFC smart business cards, I started seeing Instagram ads all over the place about Ovou, Dot, Linq, Taptok, and Covve. Thankfully, many of them have agreed to send over their cards to me or I purchased them to try it out myself and see what I thought for myself! I reviewed them with four criteria which is on 1. the physical item itself, 2. the user interface of the profile when you tap them with an NFC enabled device, 3. the user experience of working with the profile and the onboarding process, and 4. value for your money. I also tell you who each card is for and if you should buy it!
