It’s time to meet my cats! FILLED WITH IRRESISTIBLE CUTE CAT FOOTAGE!

I introduce Dawn and Sora, my beautiful Russian blue and Siberian kittens. I’ve had them for about a year, but I have their habits and behaviors down pat now, and I want to share them to you so you can learn more about them too! I also included commentary from my cats from what I THINK they would say if they could speak!

One of my projects at work is finally going live after two years! It also happened to be my FIRST project despite having done four others while this was still ongoing. It was a long journey and we had many hurdles… SO MANY! But what held us all together – and sane – was teamwork.

Actually we had our milestone celebration yesterday and the client’s CFO mentioned this proverb. It stood out to me on how this applies in other relationships in our life too!

I’m known as an extrovert to many people but I’m really an introvert. According to Myers Briggs, I’m even 90+% Introverted haha. Takes a lot of energy, but sometimes you need to push yourself! I often get the questions on what exactly do technology consultants do on a day to day basis, and while that is a very difficult question to answer, and if you ask any consultant, they’re going to say “it depends.” I remember being a college student getting that same answer in all my informational interviews, but now that I’m actually IN the field, I have a clear image of what is out there and finally found a way to break it all down in a digestible format for you!

In this video, I go over the type of work and the type of projects you may expect as a technology consultant. As I only do software implementations, I’ve also asked other technology consultants and their experiences, so this should be a pretty comprehensive video on what kind of work you can expect to do!

Hint: technology consulting actually has a better work life balance than management consulting!

I am now a tech consultant of two years at Accenture specializing in Workday Financials software implementations. On the side, I helped students from my alma mater, Boston University, in career skills and tech consulting, but now I’m casting the net wider! I now have a YouTube channel that teaches everyone the career of tech consulting (way too few resources on this career!) and a lot of career skills I think that are taken for granted like this one!

In this video, I go over EXACTLY what you need to become a technology consultant. This is a part of a two-part series with this going over the skills and certifications you need. Part one which covered education and experience came out on Monday!
