Day in the Life of a Technology Consultant: Finally Back in The Office | NYC VLOG

Finally back in the office! After a pandemic that has made us permanently work from home, we returned back to the office. I do want to note that even back before the pandemic, my life actually didn’t change that much since we were already working from home and only going into the office when needed. Since I’m the office champion, I made it so I went in twice a week for morale, but otherwise not much has changed other than not going to the client site as frequent.

In addition, the COVID restrictions have also changed since the time of this recording (back in June), but the procedure was reflective of how it was like then and not now.

10 Tips on how I ACTUALLY Saved Money in NYC!

I released a video last week on my debt-free journey, and as promised, here are the tips I have on how to save money! New York City is notorious for being super expensive, but it is still possible to save a lot of money! I tell you all the tips I used to ACTUALLY save enough money to pay off $50,000 of student loans in one year!

Despite the title, I broke this video up into two parts. The first half is focused on general tips ANYONE can use. The second half is focused on not-so-obvious tips New Yorkers can use while living in this expensive city! I’ve even given these tips to my friends born and raised in NYC and they weren’t even aware of half of these tips you can save even more money.

I wanted to note that I think the BIGGEST reasons why many can’t meet their financial goals are really denial, lifestyle creep, and discipline. Just because you live in NYC or an expensive city like LA or SF doesn’t mean you can’t save. In fact, I’ve compared my budget to someone down south and I actually spend less than him. Due to COVID19, almost everyone is trying to spend less (and even saving their stimulus package when you should be “stimulating” the economy) and some are even missing bills. The first step on meeting your financial goals with a fool-proof plan no matter how bad it gets is really acknowledging where you’re at and what you need to do to meet them, being aware of lifestyle creep, and lastly, DISCIPLINE to stick to the plan. In my video, I’m not trying to teach how to live like a barbarian, but there are SO many tips anyone can use to still live a good life and save your money so it’s sustainable.

WORK WEEK in My Life as a TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT in NYC QUARANTINE (with Cats)!

I hope this video can help give you a clear picture of what a tech consultant does and maybe consider this field for you! I am currently a technology consultant at Accenture in NYC for about two years now, and what better way to go over what exactly do I do them when I’m in quarantine and can actually tell you (and not be judged by people in the office). This video is for you if you are considering in going into tech consulting or consulting! Also, if you like cats, this video is definitely for you because I have two beautiful cats and there will be so much footage of them!

I know this is a long vlog, but I put in an educational segment every day as well for you to learn exactly how it is as a tech consultant. I talk about how a work week in technology consulting is like (in quarantine or working from home), what to expect, and the life that comes around it! Each day will cover each of these segments: how to stand out in a client call as an entry level, how are we and Accenture dealing with COVID-19 Quarantine, work life balance in consulting, differences (and skills needed) in Technology Consulting vs. Management or Strategy Consulting, and lastly, career counselors and performance achievement at Accenture or in the consulting industry.

As we live in NYC, one of the major epicenters of this pandemic, we’re trying to make the most of the situation and hope you are too wherever you are! For me, it has been very similar to how it is when I work remotely but of course some modifications were made since we can’t go outside as freely like to my boxing classes and to minor errands. Make sure to stay at home, stay healthy, stay safe, and wash your hands often! Do this for yourself and for everyone around you. We can do this guys!

If you have any further questions or you’re interested in tech consulting or Accenture, please let me know! In addition, my channel caters mostly to college students and young adults in their 20s that focus on professional development, personal development, consulting, personal finance and NYC lifestyle, so if you’re interested in this, please consider subscribing!
